Important terms at a glance
Production and freight dates are not guaranteed unless your quote expressly says they are.
Weather, carrier networks, road conditions and remote-area schedules can be unpredictable.
Photograph packaging and report visible loss or damage promptly, without limiting your legal rights.
These Shipping Terms apply to goods delivered or made available for collection by Unified Signage. Freight is included only where itemised in your quote. The freight allowance is based on the stated size, weight, packaging, destination, access and delivery service.
Before accepting the quote, tell us about remote locations, restricted access, stairs, loading restrictions, construction sites, timed bookings, tail-lift needs, cranes, forklifts or other special handling. If accurate requirements were not available when quoted, we will seek your approval before arranging any material additional charge.
Production lead time and carrier transit time are separate estimates. They begin only after all required drawings are approved, cleared payment is received, final information is supplied and any dependencies in the quote are satisfied.
Any completion, dispatch or arrival date is a good-faith estimate—not a guaranteed date—unless the quote expressly labels it as guaranteed. Do not book installers, access equipment, travel, launches or other time-critical work until the goods have arrived and been inspected.
Carrier networks can be affected by weather, flood, bushfire, road closure, industrial action, peak periods, depot congestion, mechanical failure, remote-area schedules, customs or border processing, supplier disruption and other events outside our reasonable control. We will select and manage freight with reasonable care and pass on material updates we receive.
Where delay is outside our reasonable control and we have taken reasonable steps to reduce its effect, the delivery estimate is extended by the time reasonably required. We are not responsible for losses caused solely by that external delay, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
If a material delay occurs, contact us and we will work with you on a reasonable revised plan. Nothing in this clause prevents you from exercising a right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law, including where goods are not supplied within a reasonable time.
You must provide a complete delivery address, site contact and safe access for the vehicle and consignment. Delivery is complete when the goods are handed to you or your representative at the agreed location. We will only authorise unattended delivery if agreed in writing; risk then passes when the goods are left in accordance with that authority.
We may use more than one consignment where reasonably necessary. A partial delivery does not entitle you to reject conforming goods, but we remain responsible for completing the balance of the order.
Unless expressly included, standard delivery is to a reasonably accessible ground-level receiving point. You must provide suitable people or equipment to unload oversized or heavy items where this was identified in the quote or carrier instructions.
If delivery cannot be completed because the address is incorrect, the site is closed or unsafe, access is unavailable, required receiving personnel or equipment are absent, or the customer refuses conforming goods, we may charge the reasonable additional carrier, redelivery and storage costs actually incurred. We will tell you those costs before arranging redelivery where practicable.
At delivery, count the packages and inspect the outer packaging before signing. Record visible damage on the delivery document, photograph the package before moving or opening it, unpack carefully, retain all packaging and notify us as soon as possible—ideally within 48 hours—with your order reference and clear photographs.
Prompt notice helps us pursue the carrier and arrange a remedy. It is not a time limit on any right that cannot lawfully be limited. Do not install or modify damaged goods unless needed for safety or we agree in writing, as this may make the cause or remedy harder to assess.
For collection orders, we will notify you when the goods are ready and provide collection instructions. You or your carrier must use a suitable vehicle, restraints and weather protection. Risk passes when the goods are collected.
If goods are not collected or cannot be delivered within five business days after notice, we may arrange reasonable storage and charge the actual reasonable cost after notifying you. Uncollected goods may ultimately be dealt with in accordance with applicable uncollected-goods law, after all required notices and waiting periods.
Risk of accidental loss or damage passes on completed delivery or customer collection. Ownership of the goods remains with Unified Signage until all amounts due for the order are paid in full, to the extent permitted by law.
Where you nominate or independently engage your own carrier, risk passes when the goods are handed to that carrier. You are responsible for confirming that the carrier service and insurance are suitable.
Nothing in these Shipping Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms should be read with the accepted quote, our Terms & Conditions and Approved Drawings Terms.
